Thank You Mom Foundation is pleased to announce the offering of two scholarships. One for $1000 and one for $500 to a graduating Kittatinny Regional High School senior who is planning to further his or her education at a two- or four-year college.
About Thank You Mom
Established in memory of Debbie Ann Modrow-Snook, the Thank You Mom Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to assisting individuals facing medical crises, natural disasters, financial hardships, and other formidable challenges. Since 2010, we have hosted the annual 'Debbie Ann 5K' to raise awareness and funds for those in need. The proceeds from this event support local families experiencing financial difficulties due to medical costs, illness, or bereavement, as well as other community efforts aimed at helping others.
About Debbie Modrow Snook
In March 2004, Debbie Ann Modrow-Snook heroically saved her five-year-old son from the icy waters of Culver Lake, sacrificing her own life in the process.
A 1988 graduate of Kittatinny Regional High School (KRHS), Debbie was an active student, serving as a class officer and participating in various sports teams, clubs, and activities. She continued her education at William Paterson College, where she interned for the "Late Show" in New York City. After graduating, Debbie worked on the "Later" show and later became a script editor for Greg Kinnear. When the show relocated to Los Angeles, she moved there to continue her career, enjoying many enriching experiences.
Known for her kindness, compassion, and generosity, Debbie often welcomed new students at school, sang with her church choir, and volunteered at a soup kitchen. She also helped raise funds for AIDS awareness, volunteered with the Red Cross disaster relief services, supported Project Self-Sufficiency, and assisted at Camp Auxilium. Debbie found joy in helping others and made a lasting impact on her community.
